Safeguarding

At Outwoods Primary School, Safeguarding and Child Protection is at the centre of everything we do- there is nothing more important than the safety of your children. All staff and volunteers are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

We believe that all pupils have a right to learn in a supportive, caring and safe environment which includes the right to protection from all types of abuse. Our staff are vigilant for signs of any pupil in distress and are confident about applying the processes to avert and alleviate any such problems.

All staff are trained regularly on Safeguarding procedures and are made aware of important documentation including the School’s Safeguarding Policy and ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2021’.

Our training also includes raising awareness of and providing information about ‘A Child Missing in Education, Child Sexual Exploitation and Female Genital Mutilation’.  We also actively support the Government’s PREVENT agenda to counter terrorism, radicalisation and extremism.

Safe in Warwickshire

Safe In Warwickshire is a collection of partner agencies, who are members of the Safer Warwickshire Partnership Board.

They work collaboratively to address crime and safety priorities, and to provide support for victims and survivors of crime and disorder across Warwickshire.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns are discussed with a parent/carer first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.

Our Designated Lead for Safeguarding is Mrs Sally Taylor head2083@welearn365.com

Deputy Designated Lead is Miss Clare Maguire maguire.c1@welearn365.com

We can be contacted on 01827712372 or via the emails above.
