Science - we conducted an experiment to see which material would be the best for sound proofing.
Forest Schools - we enjoyed making a fire and toasting marshmallows on a cold afternoon!
Art - this week we finished our printing artwork inspired by the work of Andy Warhol. We used this style to create the faces of different musicians linked to our topic of Battle of the Bands.
Science - this week we have created phone string cups, exploring which cups would make the loudest sound.
Maths - we are starting to learn how to multiply 2 digit numbers by a 1 digit number. We used the base 10 apparatus and our place value grids to calculate with.
Forests Schools - we love being outside and learning in our nature area
Science - we explored how to change pitch by plucking elastic bands of different widths. The thicker the band the lower the pitch.
Maths - we are learning our 3, 4 and 8 times table. To help us with this, we completed a range of activities to help us to remember them.
P.E. - during our gymnastics lesson we explored different ways to travel and balance on the different pieces of equipment.
Topic launch: Battle of the Bands - We had a great start to term, taking part in a 'Disco through the decades'. We enjoyed listening to different genres of music and dancing to them in different ways.
