Our First Weeks in Year One

Festive fun at the end of term!

18/11/2022 - Children In Need Day in Sombrero class!

14/11/2022 - We wore odd socks for the day to mark the start of Anti - Bullying Week 2022!

Week Beginning 31/10/2022 - We returned to school after half term and enjoyed a fantastic week learning all about the inspirational Sir David Attenborough and one of his Planet Earth documentaries all about jungles! We did a range of different activities including writing fact files in English, painting jungles in Art and investigating jungle parachutes in Science!

We did some amazing Maths during the first half of the Autumn Term! Look at our practical work involving part whole models!

Look at our Andy Goldsworthy inspired nature sculptures. The children worked really hard throughout the first half of the Autumn Term learning all the art skills to make these wonderful 3D pictures!

Autumn Exploring in Science! Throughout the Autumn term we have been observing and recording seasonal changes in our school grounds and noticing the changes in the weather and daylight hours.

Hedgehog Homes - 19.10.2022 - we designed and made homes to help the hedgehogs living in our school grounds.
