At Outwoods, we value PE and sport very highly within our curriculm - and our children do too. 

We have partnered with Premier Education who are the UK's No.1 provider of sport and physical activity to primary schools. They understand that all children are different, equipped with varying skillsets, interests and abilities - children respond best when challenged by a wide range of activities. A positive experience of physical activity at a young age can encourage a lifetime of participation. Plus, children will learn new things, build skills and boost their confidence.

Premier Education coaches are highly trained across more than 30 types of sports, arts and personal development activities to add amazing variation to our choice of extra-curricular activities. Each coach has a passion and energy which they bring with them every day and pass on to our pupils.

As part of our Enrichment Program we have two Premier Education coaches on-site every lunchtime - one in KS1 and one in KS2. They set up a variation of sports and activities with an aim to get all children involved and trying something new. From this, we have seen an increase in participation in sport over lunchtime and children are enjoying the opportunity to watch and learn from expert coaching.

Their fully qualified, flexible coaches deliver our wrap-around After School Club which is available daily until 5.15pm. Plus, a variety of before school clubs which run in six week block sessions - these include sporting and performance activities such as Dodgeball, Performing Arts and Gymnastics (certificated by British Gymnastics) Our children also have access to Premier Education Holiday Clubs.
