Year 3 - Fedora 2024/25
Welcome to Fedora Class! Our class teacher is Miss K Preston and our teaching assistant is Mrs J Hilton. We are very excited to begin an excellent new academic year filled with exciting and memorable learning experiences. Please refer to this website page which will include information on PE and forest school days, homework, spellings.
English
This half-term the children will be reading Ice Palace, where we will focus on furthering our descriptive writing techniques by writing a setting description and then a recount in first person. We will also be continuing our review and edit skills. The children will have opportunities to learn many of the key language skills needed in order to progress as writers.
Maths
This half-term we will be building on our knowledge of addition and subtraction. We are looking at formal written methods by looking at column addition and subtraction with exchange. We will then move on to multiplication and division towards the end of the half-term.
Science
The children will be learning about animals including humans this half-term which they will explore through scientific enquiry and investigation. They will plan and conduct fair tests and identify what to keep the same and what to change and measure.
