Welcome to Beanie Class!
We are in year 1 and our teachers are Miss Atkinson and Mrs Cressey. Our PE days are Wednesday and Thursday.
This half term our topic is 'Brilliant Birds'. In science, we will be learning about birds, trees, and plants. In Geography we are going to be using world maps, atlases, and globes to identify the United Kingdom and its countries, as well as the countries, continents, and oceans pf the world!
We have created our own cool spa trays in Beanies class today to keep us cool us in the heat!
This week Baby Bear visited year 1 and left porridge oats all over the classroom floor! He asked us to help him make Mummy and Daddy Bear porridge. We followed a simple recipe that Baby Bear left and we all loved making and tasting the porridge! After that, we wrote our own recipes on how to make porridge for Baby Bear!
Last week the children were learning all about letters! In English they wrote letters all about their first week at school and what they had been learning about. Then put all their letters in envelopes and walked to the postbox to post them to their families.
And even met a postman on the way!
