Battle of the Beaks!
During our science this half term (Evolution and Inheritance), we looked at adaptation and focussed on which beaks would be the most suitable shape for various foods. We had to use a LOT of imagination to see that different beak shapes were represented by tweezers, scissors, a spoon and a peg. We had various items to represent the food such as elastic bands for worms. A little like hungry hippos, we had to see how many items we could each collect using our 'beak' and see which was the most successful shape overall. Yes it did get a little crazy!
