Forest School Sessions

Every week Bluebells will be taking part in 2 sessions of Forest School. The sessions will take place on Monday and Tuesday afternoons.

The sessions will take place in our own woodland area and aims to support the development of a lifelong relationship with the natural world.

Sessions will help to develop confidence and self esteem through hands-on learning and encourage children to develop themselves through healthy engagement with risk, problem-solving and self-discovery.

02.10.2023 Digging in the woodland was AMAZING fun!

03.10.2023 We played conkers, den building, mud kitchen, creating a Hedgehog house and had a go at using flint and steel! A very busy and productive session.

09.10.2023 We continued to try and use the flint and steel to light a Fairy Blanket. We were so proud of ourselves and we worked really well as a team.

09.10.2023 We had a lovely time creating bracelets from the natural resources we found in the woodland.

10.10.23 We had a lot of fun playing Where's Wally and Tiggy Iakye

10.10.2023 We loved having some calm time listening to a funny story in the Woodland!

16.10.2023 We made fairy bracelets, carved a pumpkin and used tools, including loppers and a handsaw. We were sawing old branches to begin making Bug hotels for our resident hedgehogs.

We had so much fun today! We wore blindfolds and worked in partners and as a team to guide ourselves through a sensory walk!

13.11.2023 We noticed that there was a lot of litter in our woodland, so we decided to complete a litter pick. We got almost 2 bin bags full.

14.11.2023 We painted and created 'Dragon eggs' that we left in the woodland. A dragon (aka Mrs Brampton) came strolling through to see where her eggs were left.

28.11.2023 - It was so COLD that we used a Kelly kettle to boil some water and had a lovely hot chocolate with marshmallows! It was yummy!
