Year 6 - Pork Pie

We had a great first half term in Year 6!

In our History lessons, we learnt all about real life heroes and how different historical figures have helped shape the way we live today. When we studied David Attenborough’s life, we learnt all about plastic pollution and the devastating effects our litter has on sea creatures. We also learnt about Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King, who both fought for equal rights. We produced some fantastic work over the term – take a look!

To finish off our topic, we were asked to write a letter to our own real life heroes. Some of us chose authors such as J.K. Rowling and David Walliams, whereas others chose to write to inspirational sports stars like Marcus Rashford and Ben Stokes. Fingers crossed we get some replies!
