Aims and Values
We wanted to capture the essential ingredients of what makes our teachers want to teach; what makes our support staff want to work in education; what makes our Governors want to give their time, effort and expertise; and what makes parents and carers realise the importance of education and learning for their children. Finally we want to give our children an understanding of what drives us, and what we hope they will embrace as they grow and develop at Outwoods. We believe we have captured our vision when we say Outwoods Primary School represents:-
‘love for learning, learning for life!’
Our mission statement says:-
“Outwoods Primary School seeks to provide a purposeful, stable, safe and secure environment in which to learn. We are a school that puts put our children at the centre of everything we do, teaching them things they really need to know. We are a school that values everyone as part of the Outwoods team.
Outwoods Primary is also a school where every child can trust every adult, and children and adults are expected to treat each other with respect. Key to our success is the belief that it is our mission to nurture self-belief in our children and to instil high aspirations in everyone. We constantly strive to remain a happy and stimulating school where our children want to be and grow as learners.”
